Typical Dishes

North Sardinia’s cooking boasts a great variety of typical dishes which use ingredients such as meats (especially mutton and pig), vegetables and legumes, with olive oil as an essential condiment.

Along with the roasts of suckling pig and lamb from the inland areas, there is the coastal cuisine with seafood dishes. Gallura is noted for its particular dishes, for example “La Zuppa Cuata” made from bread, meat broth and cheese.

The list included in this leaflet represents the most representative typical dishes available in the area.
