Millefiori honey
|
The
extraordinary succession of flowering periods,
especially among natural species such as rosemary,
asfodel, myrtle and lavender goes together to make
this millefiori (thousand flower) honey which has
its own different organic characteristics depending
on which flowers are present in the area where it is
produced. Sometimes in the botanical composition of
an area, one or another species prevails, which
gives the honey a distinct aroma; other times, the
aroma of the honey derives from a balanced mixture
of plants and their relative perfumes. |
