Le
Copulette or “Copulettas” are circular cakes
with a diameter of 6-7 cm and a wavy edge. The
surface is covered with icing. They are mostly found
in the Logudoro area, especially in Ozieri: they are
particularly linked to the Easter period. Nowadays,
different from tradition, the filling of these
“Copulette di Ozieri” is composed mainly of
sponge cake and almonds. The ingredients used to
make them are: eggs, sugar, milk, flour, lard and
lemon juice for the pastry, almonds and honey for
the filling. |
