Panadas

Panadas
are pies made of pastry which are filled with eel
meat (in the oldest tradition), or lamb, veal or
pork. They have ancient origins and were originally
the basic food of peasant farmers in the villages
around the Coghinas lake.
Panadas
production has since spread to the Monte Acuto area.
The ingredients used to make Panadas are: re-milled
flour, lard, water and salt for the pastry; eel meat
or sardines, or lamb, veal or pork with minced lard
and spices in the filling. |
