The Romangia - Anglona area has become famous for its
excellent seafood cuisine, with various specialities
including ‘Lobster alla Castellanese’ which, along with
the medieval village of Castesardo from which it
originated, has become internationally renowned. Cheese
production is also worth mentioning, the most important
being ‘Granglona’. The production of fresh pasta, bread
and traditional cakes and biscuits is particularly
interesting and rural tourist facilities (agriturismi) are
noted for their number and quality. The area has a
flourishing animal farming and agricultural tradition with
high quality vegetables, meats and cold meats. Tourist /
residential facilities are also well worth noting.
Production of olive oil and wine is not to be forgotten
with the most representative wines including ‘Moscato di
Sardegna DOC ‘and ‘Cannonau di Sardegna DOC.
